I decided before that Via is not going to have a party on her first birthday due to financial constraints. However, I am going to make sure that we are going to celebrate it.
Plans have changed. My mother sent me a text message yesterday while I was at work that I have to start making the preparations as early as now. I didn't have to worry about the expenses because according to my mother, she is going to shoulder all of them. (Thank you Lord for my generous mother!)
My Via is then going to have two birthday celebrations.
One is with her father. We are going to have a small kiddie party in our apartment. I think pancit, cake and Andok's roasted chicken would suffice. We would set up a kid's movie on the TV and play some kiddie songs. And also, I'm going to buy a couple of balloons for the kids in our apartment grounds.
One is with my parents. "Where", "when", "what" and "how many" I still need to figure it out. One thing is for certain, it's going to be held one week after her actual birthday because we have to wait for my parents to come back from their trip.
I'm kind of excited even though I'm not feeling well right now.
your mom is so generous. bilis ng panahon, mag 1yr old na si via. =)
ReplyDeleteAaaw. Your mom is a sweetheart. You must be thrilled planning Via's first party. :)
ReplyDeleteOur lil princess just turned one a month ago. My hubby and I intended to have a simple celebration too, but my in-laws offered to shoulder the party expenses as well. Yey!
ReplyDeleteHihi.. Grannies. They always want a big birthday party for their apo. My dad shouldered the party expenses on Alex's 1st birthday too.
