Stomp Night!

It was tonight or never.  There weren't any more avaiable P700++ seats and so, we had to buy the pricier ones :(  Stomp was really hip.  I'm sure the audience wanted to stand up from their seats and join the beat, noise and dance the performers were making.

I think this is the first time I watched something at CCP.
The show was somehow similar with Nanta
(a performance in Myeongdong Seoul).
My sister told me that she enjoyed Nanta than this one.
But nevertheless, my brother and I found the show so cool.
I wonder if we can perform the same thing in Resident's Night at work next year.
Fat chance!  I need to beef up in order to do well in that kind of performance.

Anyway, I like the concept.
It was so creative.
Basically, the sound they find in every material
is music in their ears and a dance in the making.

Her Birthday Dress

Grandma took the liberty to buy her birthday dress.  I don't really mind.  And I loved what Mom bought my Via.  It was like a summer dress (even though the party is going to be held on Christmas season).  I was thinking of buying her something that resembles that of Dora's clothes.  Since I don't have time for shopping these days, I was happy to see the package that my mom left our room days ago.  It was her gift to Via... along with so many things already.

Thank you Lola Mommy!

Room Improvements

New Tube!  More space for my abubot.
The console was pulled out from another house.
My old desk was pulled out from my room
and the photo frames had nowhere else to go but in this corner.

Here's Via, watching me straighten out the messy room

At last, I was able to buy frames from the supermarket.
I plan to put Via's pictures ALL OVER our bedroom walls.

I pulled down my (ehem) portrait and replaced it with Via's.
MUCH MUCH better!

My JOY!  New chair and table for me.
Thank you Mommy.

Danger zone for Via.  I tried to pull out some of the heavy stuff
from the bookshelves which might fall on Via
whenever she bumps her walker against it.
Heck! The whole thing might topple over her if I don't do something!

The bed is not where it is supposed to be
but in this way, it makes more space for Via to move around.

Preparing For Via's First Birthday Party

I decided before that Via is not going to have a party on her first birthday due to financial constraints.  However, I am going to make sure that we are going to celebrate it.

Plans have changed.  My mother sent me a text message yesterday while I was at work that I have to start making the preparations as early as now.  I didn't have to worry about the expenses because according to my mother, she is going to shoulder all of them.  (Thank you Lord for my generous mother!)

My Via is then going to have two birthday celebrations.

One is with her father.  We are going to have a small kiddie party in our apartment.  I think pancit, cake and Andok's roasted chicken would suffice.  We would set up a kid's movie on the TV and play some kiddie songs. And also, I'm going to buy a couple of balloons for the kids in our apartment grounds.

One is with my parents.  "Where", "when", "what" and "how many" I still need to figure it out.  One thing is for certain, it's going to be held one week after her actual birthday because we have to wait for my parents to come back from their trip.

I'm kind of excited even though I'm not feeling well right now.

Day When Pedring Came

Late Post:

I went to work early that day.  There was electricity everywhere in the hospital except our department.  It seems that the generator cannot provide for the heavy machinery our Radiology department has.  And so, there was no work to be done.

The chief resident sent a text message to my senior resident that day to send everyone who's not on duty home.  And so, I called Kuya Sergio (our driver) to come and pick me up in the lobby few minutes after he just dropped me off.

Of course, I was so happy to go home and spend the morning with my anak.  We didn't have electricity until it was noon time.  Good thing, we had a cool temperature in the house even though all windows were closed (due to the strong winds).

In the afternoon, I asked my brother and my sister to drive me to Mercury Drugstore and National Bookstore in Eastwood City because I needed to buy something.

We ended up spending most of our time in Fully Booked and had lunch at Cyma.

We were supposed to stay longer but my tummy wasn't up for it.  I asked them that we drive home ASAP! LOL!

I just wore a jacket over my "pambahay" shirt.

I bought a pocket notebook for my personal thoughts
as if blogging isn't enough.

My entries are all my thoughts for Via.
I'm planning to give her this notebook when she grows up.
My entries are like "Status Messages" in Facebook or Twitter
but I have to put some thought into it because my daughter is going to read it
someday ^_^

I bought two of this cute little pocket notebook
for my work notes.

I am motivated to study and take notes because it's so cute!
